GB YTH

Our servant leaders will have the room to use their specific talents or joy-giving interests (planning events, coordinating meals, helping with games, leading Bible studies, etc.), but every servant leader will help facilitate small group discussions with students after preaching/teaching on Wednesday nights. We need both males and females to step into these roles, but we desperately need females at the moment. We would love to see the Lord send us at least 2 more male leaders and up to 5 more female leaders.

Partnership, or currently moving toward partnership, is required for this role. Serving as a youth leader is an every-week commitment, so when life happens and things come up, we want you to be able to step away. Family over ministry. We need more leaders serving to make that possible for you and those currently serving.

Partnership is not required for this role. We also need people who are willing to serve on a rotation for providing meals on Wednesday nights for our students to enjoy and to be nourished. Ideally, this would look like taking the first week of every month, for example, so you only serve in this way once per month.

GB Kids

Serving in our KIDS ministry is an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with our children ages infant to 3rd grade. Some classes require more play and entertaining while other classes require teaching a brief lesson (that is provided ahead of time) and leading a hands-on activity (all items are provided for you). We ask our volunteers to serve once a month, but if we have enough servers the goal would be every 6 weeks.

We have a need for more servers in ALL classrooms, but we especially need help in the 4/5 year old room (3 more servers needed), the 1st grade room (3 more servers needed), and in our special needs classroom (2 more servers needed). You have the option of choosing a specific class you feel most comfortable serving in which will be discussed in the interview.

Teens ages 13-17 may serve on Sunday mornings as a Teen helper in the classrooms. Adults 18 and older may serve as a leader in the classroom.

Partners and regular attenders may serve in KIDS church.

Security Team

The Greenbriar Security Team needs help keeping the people of Greenbriar Church safe!

The main need is for serving on Sunday mornings before, during, and after each service. Each team member will rotate through different positions on the team. Some positions will require missing the service on the Sundays you serve, but there are also positions in the service that will allow you to still participate with your family. The goal is that each volunteer only serves one Sunday per month (unless you desire more).

We also need volunteers to man the security office on Wednesday nights from 6:15-9:00. Not everyone is required to rotate into this position. Serving only on Sunday mornings is an option.

Security team volunteers do need to be prepared to help offer direction and assistance in potentially stressful, emergency situations. We do require background checks for all volunteers on the security team. No prior experience is necessary. Training will be provided.

We are looking for 3-5 new volunteers to rotate through different positions on the security team on Sunday mornings and some on Wednesday nights.

Must be a Greenbriar Partner and over 18 years old.

Connect Ministry (Greeters, Connect Stations, Followup)

Connect Ministry is a multifaceted collection of teams that act as hands and feet extending a welcome from Jesus to partners, attenders, and new guests. This team implements the biblical value of hospitality by welcoming, meeting initial needs, and helping people connect into the Greenbriar community.

- Greeters -
These are the first faces that people generally see on a Sunday at Greenbriar. We need people who enjoy making people feel seen with a kind word, a smile, and willingness to help them find their bearings at Greenbriar. This person might possess various spiritual gifts such as hospitality, helps, and service, among others. This person should also be outgoing and willing to engage in kind conversation with attenders, listen intently, and attentive to providing direction as necessary. Serving Frequency: at least once per month

- Connect Stations -
There are two possible places to serve under the umbrella off Connect Stations: Connect Desk and Connect Cart. The Connect Cart is meant to be an engagement point for people who would consider themselves to be new to Greenbriar (likely they are in their first month of attendance). This is a low-pressure interaction where the attender is greeted and welcomed by the server, asked to fill out a Connect Card, and given a nice gift. This gives us the ability to follow up while also extending hospitality to new people. Servers at The Connect Desk have some similarities to Connect Cart servers but they get to help widen the net of connection. These servers welcome and provide initial services to guests, such as checking in children of new families and ushering people to areas they need to go. These servers are also available for help in understanding and getting plugged into what's going on at Greenbriar, helping to fill out Connect Cards, register people for events, and more. These people should possess the same qualities as Greeters, and may also possess more administrative and organizational strengths.

- Followup -
When people who are new to the church fill out a Connect Card, we know that they desire to know more and more connection. This is where the Followup Team comes in. This team reaches out through phone calls, text, email, and written letter to thank people for visiting and give direction for next steps. This person should generally love people, be kind and welcoming, and be willing to reach out for the purpose of helping them find belonging in the body of Christ. This role requires about 10-60 minutes of service in a week, dependent on the amount of Connect Cards, and what a person needs.

- 8 Front Door Greeters | Frequency: at least once a month
- 2 Connect Cart Servers | Frequency: once every 2 months
- 5 Connect Desk Servers | Frequency: once a month
- Followup Servers | Frequency: weekly as needed (dependent on Connect Cards

Partners, Regular attenders may serve, adults and youth in 6th grade or older may serve.

Green Bean Café

This ministry team is a crucial extension of our Connect Teams, providing another level in hospitality to all who attend. The Café servers put coffee or tea into the hands of those who need to be refreshed and do so with a kind word and a smile. This team does require some work before Sunday attenders even begin to arrive. Café servers arrive around 8:30 and begin to brew coffee and set up the café area to be usable for people, but when people start arriving, serving is a simple as greeting, filling a cup, placing a coffee cup sleeve and lid on the cup, and handing it to someone, providing refreshment and welcome to that person's experience at Greenbriar Church. This person should be kind, helpful, and hardworking.

- 6 Café Servers | Frequency: once a month
Partners, regular attenders, adults and youth in 6th grade or older may serve.

Women's Ministry

We have a developing Women's Ministry, that seeks to provide pathways of connection and discipleship that are specific to the women of Greenbriar Church and the greater community. We are looking for women who would be willing to help in various ways, from planning events, leading discussions, leading worship, set up, tear down, administrative needs, etc. As this ministry is solidifying, roles will become more clear, but if women are adamant about seeing Women's Ministry become an active part of Greenbriar and are willing to help, we want to know who you are.

- Any woman that is willing to help is welcome to serve.

Refresh Crew

Part of being a welcoming church requires our facilities to have organized, fresh, and updated materials for guests. We want guests to know that we are expecting them, and they are welcome. This Crew helps to maintain the materials in chair backs, create gifts for guests, and refreshes the informative signage around the building. These people should enjoy task-oriented work that has a BIG purpose. We want chair backs to be organized with the right materials, we want the signs around the building to reflect current events, and we want to have plenty of gifts to give away to people who are new with us. As a part of the refresh crew, you get to serve others in these ways and more.

Needs: 4-8 Servers who can serve sometime during the week to have the facilities refreshed before Sundays.

Partners, regular attenders, adults and youth n 6th grade or older may serve.

Men's Ministry

Men's Ministry provides specific pathways and environments for men to connect with other men to grow in their relationships with God and become men who R.A.L.I. (Reject Passivity, Accept Responsibility, Lead Courageously, and Invest Eternally). Men's ministry's main pathways for ministry are weekly breakfasts, bi-yearly events, and retreats. Right now, the needs for Men's Ministry are very general. We need men that would be willing help set up and tear down for various men's events, men to send communications or help to track event registrations, men to teach, pray, and help with a handful of other items that allow this ministry to function.
Any man that is willing to help in some way is welcome to serve.
